We have a current opening for a senior Security Assessor of SoC / IC security architectures, specifications and implementations in hardware and / or software (depending on area of expertise).
This role is reporting into the Head of Security Maturity & Training and is preferably located in Gratkorn, Eindhoven, Glasgow, Leuven, Toulouse or Hamburg.
Other NXP locations in Europe can be considered as well.
The responsibilities of this exciting, varied role will include
Security assessment of SoC / IC security architectures and security scope specifications in hardware and / or software (depending on area of expertise)
Detailed implementation reviews (RTL, IC design, firmware, software)
Assessment of effectiveness of security mechanisms / hardenings in hardware, firmware, software, protocols, etc.
Work with Security Architects to innovate solutions to security-related problems
Manage the NXP Security Maturity Process applied on product developments in order to reduce security risks with products
Track Security Maturity Process security reviews and deliverables during product developments
Provide consultation on specific areas of security expertise and on the Security Maturity Process
Provide a technical interface point between product development teams and the Crypto & Security group
Support security certification, security-related ISO standards, and project management flows by application of the Security Maturity Process
Keep up-to-date with best practices and developments in the SoC / IC security industry (particularly in areas of expertise)
To ensure your successful performance in this role, the following is desired
BSEE or MSEE preferred in Security Engineering, Software Engineering or Electronic Engineering
Have good experience in IC hardware design or embedded software design (depending on area of expertise)
Have 5+ years of experience in the design and development of Embedded Systems having security needs
Have knowledge of Hardware description languages (System Verilog, VHDL) or software languages (assembly, C, Java, Javacard)
Have a strong security background and understanding of security concepts, principles, threats and countermeasures. Knowledge of security certification processes would be advantageous
Are familiar with "state of the art" hardware or software tools (depending on area of expertise)
Furthermore you :
Are comfortable working independently and in teams
Are flexible and adaptable, and willing to participate in both hardware and software circles
Are willing to travel (Approximately 2 -3 times per year)
