The Role

Manager Customer Success Managers, will support, empower and inspire a team of CSMs across Central EMEA.

The ideal candidate will be customer focused and have a proven track record of managing a Customer Success team that delivers results.

They will be driven to accelerate VMware’s growth in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) software business by enabling customers to rapidly and successfully adopt our advanced products and technology and realize business value.

Experience with cultivating diverse teams and professional development of a CSM team will also be beneficial.

Responsibilities :

  • Recruit, manage, mentor and retain a high performing team by promoting growth in capabilities and careers while prioritising diversity, inclusion and excellence.
  • Take ownership for all aspects of the post-sales customer experience, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and high level of retention.
  • Taking the initiative to continuously listen to customers and improve the customer experience.
  • Inspire the team to act as a customer advocate and help build and execute impactful Customer Success Plans that deliver highly successful business outcomes, resulting in customer loyalty, increased adoption of VMware solutions and high NPS.
  • Optimise the commercial success and growth of the CEMEA business through managing the forecast of renewals and planning of resources.
  • Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with all stakeholders - customers, partners and internally within VMware.
  • Evangelise the business value of VMware Customer Success Managers, including speaking at major customer events such as VMworld, Customer Days and Customer Roundtables.
  • Develop best practices and assets based on learnings from customer engagements to support initiatives to scale and develop the Customer Success team.
  • Skills and Experience

  • A proven track record managing Customer Success teams (or post-sales account management teams)
  • Experience owning and optimising Customer Success Plans
  • Experience collaborating across business units internally and at large enterprises. Demonstratable ability to influence people and form superior customer relationships.
  • Executive Presence and proven ability to communicate professionally with executive teams, internally and externally, with customers and partners, including CXO-level ability to manage stakeholder interests and navigate customer organizations.
  • Proven track record of recruiting and developing employees into top performers
  • 8 years of experience in the software industry with a minimum of 3 years in Customer Success, including people management.
  • BS / BA degree or equivalent and management experience.
  • Industry knowledge of cloud technologies, virtualization, and end-user computing would be a plus.
  • Fluent in German
