Tasks and Qualifications :

The Role :

  • Full Financial Controlling of EMEA solution development OrganizationGovernance of estimating modelsFull review of Costing : From Budget, Bid / noBid to submission of the projects to ROC (Regional approval) / GOC (Global approval)Ensure performance to standard and provide quarterly updates with trend analysis
  • Contribute to the building of the region and global pricing strategyMovement from cost plus to value-based pricing frameworkGovernance of open book models for strategic partnersImplement and drive benchmark data and comparisons for cost types across solutions, project types, product offerings to identify improvement areas and best-practice sharing
  • Track and analyze order intake performance and profitability analytics by Markets, Solutions, Product Types
  • Participation and contribution in the internal milestones and quality gates regarding solution costs to ensure proper alignment with Execution and robust project costings to avoid non-conformance-costs in Execution
  • Governance, control, review and approval of costing information for the internal approval process
  • Providing transparent costing developments during the quote process for projects to support decision making process with the Management
  • Drive decision making and performance tracking around vertical markets and associated solution types and solution costings and pricings
  • Participation and contribution in the internal project execution review process on project variances to foster immediate lessons learned for issues with root cause in Sales / Solution Development
  • Continuous development and harmonization of costing tools and methodologies across EMEA
  • Identification of developments in the solution development / costing that do not fit the strategic objective and cooperation with the EMEA management and the solution development leaders with regard to countermeasures and tracking of the implementation.
  • Support and drive a proper cash flow calculation (cost-out and cash-in timing) to ensure cash positive balance throughout the whole project execution duration based on the planning in the solution development phase
  • Triangulating market trends, Dematic product & solutions and the competitive landscape to develop key accounts 3 year strategic plan, including but not limited to, wallet share, global expansion and product / solution plays
  • Identify opportunities to extend and apply intelligence / learning as a benchmark for Dematic market based & cost + pricing approach and to establish a Dematic best in class approach to Global Accounts
  • Special analyzes as well as regular analysis of costing information in the company's business units as well as variance analyzes for budget and forecast
  • Support in the creation of presentations with regard to monthly, quarterly or annual reports, management presentations and the like
  • What we are looking for :

  • Degree in business administration / economics or comparable education and experience
  • Several years of practical experience in a comparable finance position or in commercial / solution development with a focus on costing and pricing controlling
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM tools as well as planning tools, Oracle / Hyperion and cost calculation and pricing tools, Return-of-Investment calculations and scenarios, experience in economical calculations
  • Very good MS Office knowledge, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP knowledge
  • Very good written and spoken English, other language skills desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, also across functional and geographical boundaries
  • Excellent ability to work in a team, change and problem-solving skills, analytical thinking skills and customer orientation
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
