SS&C acquired Algorithmics in .The RoleThe SS&C Algorithmics’ ACM product development team, located in Vienna (Austria), is responsible for all phases of Algo Credit Manager (ACM) solution development.

ACM is a limits and counterparty exposure management solution that delivers a complete view of credit exposures across financial organisations.

The team comprises business analysts, front-end & back-end software developers, integration engineers, software & technology architects, and a QA team, providing a balance of technical IT and Financial Business professional’s experience.

ACM Vienna Development team is looking for a Business Analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong banking products & banking process experience, who is highly motivated and has a self-starting attitude.

Ideal candidates will have an analytical mind-set, constantly driving continuous improvement of product.In this role, you will work closely with customers, SME and SS&C professional services consultants to evaluate, analyse and describe business problems, identify both functional and non-functional requirements, and supervise the conversion into user stories for use of all members of our product & software development team.

Along with our Product & Offering management team you will be also responsible to research new market trends and initiatives, follow business and regulatory changes, and incorporate them into a tactical and strategic product roadmap.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure continuous and successful product innovation by working closely with developers to design, review and test features addressing client needs.

Drive identification of customer requirements, concerns & ideas, and present them in user stories describing fundamental principles of target consumer role needs.

Conduct specific business analysis activities and impact assessment to evaluate suitability of required features in the context of overall solution strategy.

Look at change requests from all angles and identify both obvious and hidden issues, repeating patterns and decision points.

Partner with all stakeholder teams to develop forward-thinking problem resolution.Model use cases and test scenarios to visualize and validate proposed solution addresses requirements with both user-friendly and functionally adequate features.

Author and update internal and external documentation, business process diagrams, flowcharts, requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, user guides, etc.

and reviews with stakeholderPerform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.

Test, validate and provide feedback on PoC and pre-release versions of the software.Provide consulting services to clients advising best and proven practice approaches leveraging already existing system capabilities.

Suggest alternate solution and option where meaningful and applicable.Assists clients with system configuration, data mapping, new feature activation and leveraging full potential of included functions to maximize client businesses and satisfaction.

Support pre and post-sales activities. Facilitate workshops and training sessions.Communication / Negotiation : The position requires regular interaction and collaboration on functional and technical issues related to credit risk management processes with external clients, internal departments and functional peers as concepts are moderately complex and require precise language and explanation to ensure shared understanding.

Judgement and negotiation is often required to resolve moderately complex issues and find balance between costs and relative benefits of product enhancements & modifications.

The candidate must be able to conduct workshops and discovery sessions with internal and external audiences, and be able to clearly articulate complex ideas, detailed use cases, implementation proposals, summary reports and memos to peers, managers and external clients.

The candidate must also have excellent written communication, having responsibility for documenting system design, configuration specifications, workflows and complex process and issues, and be able modify level of technical or functional details to suit different audiences.

You must be active listener, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, anticipate other’s reaction and be prepare to change dynamic of conversation in favor of positive outcome.

Problem Solving : Position requires Critical Thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

The candidate needs expert analytical ability and be capable of complex problem solving.We also seek an individual with high-level of troubleshooting capabilities, a person that can apply techniques to investigate end to end process & data flow, evaluate calculation routines to determine underlying causes and resolve errors in a timely and efficient manner.

Contribution / Leadership : Have direct influence on others in department or on team or product management to drive and advance solution business and usability improvements.

Provides guidance to internal and external counterparts to progress their skills in implementing solutions and their understanding of risk management concepts and modeling algorithms.

Understands and supports the mission and vision of the team / department. Also ensures all administration requirements of SS&C Algorithmics and internal team guidelines are consistently adhered to.

Skills : Has conceptual and applied knowledge of a wide range of Trading and Banking book instruments, Credit Limit management functions and credit risk review processes.

Conceptual understanding of cloud platforms and emerging technologies benefits, and their practical application in product innovation process.

Understanding basic concepts of system integration in complex IT ecosystems typical for large financial organization.Basic knowledge of and ideally experience with structured query languages, modern data models (JSON / XML), and data transformation routines.

Good English language skills. Candidates must be able to communicate and present well in English and must be able to provide well-written documents in English.

Qualifications : University degree in the field of Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics, Applied Science, Statistics or other quantitative discipline.

Has minimum of three to five years of experience implementing or consulting in credit risk management or related functions.

Experience in implementing solutions involving Algo products (ACM, Algo Workspace platform, RTCE) is a plus.Ability to travel globally to participate in client workshops, pre-sale demos or provide onsite consulting services.
