Job Description

The Proposition Sales Specialist role is responsible for driving Investment & Advisory Capabilities gross sales by proactively developing and closing solutions sales opportunities across dedicated client portfolio (asset management, wealth, private banking) within Refinitiv’s solutions -The Financial and Risk business of Thomson Reuters is now Refinitiv.

The successful candidate should have sales experience (ideally 3+ years) with a proven track record in selling market data solutions for the financial markets such as Application Hosting, Treasury Systems, Risk Management, Order Management or Trading systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Overall sales and new business ownership of the Refinitiv Investment & Advisory solutions offering
  • Deliver recurring and outright revenue
  • Accountable for all stages of an opportunity from lead generation to closely aligning tightly with the overall account strategy owned by the account manager.
  • Work together with the account team to ensure solutions provided enhance customer satisfaction
  • Cross-channel function, building on expert knowledge to target client base, recognize client needs and propose solution.
  • Develop senior level customer relationships to become a trusted business advisor with expert capability who sells solutions / products in early life-cycle that have not reached maturity
  • Lead customer presentations and demos, workshops and meetings for the purposes of winning new business
  • Lead sales campaigns and participate in marketing events as a proposition specialist
  • Develop and maintain a rolling 12 months Pipeline
  • Maintain accurate customer contact and opportunity data in CRM
  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, keeping top management engaged with the business in a timely fashion, analyses impact from intelligence on competitor activity and provides feedback to Senior management
  • Hold relationships with key industry associations & stakeholders
  • Required Skills and Experience :

  • 3-4 plus years of industry and market sales experience of solutions to asset management companies, brokerage companies, wealth, private banking and other financial industries;
  • Understanding of actual financial technologies and IT solutions for financial institutions, readiness to collaborate both with business departments and IT
  • Knowledge of industry trends and customers' business models around asset management companies, brokerage companies, wealth, private banking and other financial industries
  • Deep financial markets understanding and understanding of market data
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency either in German or Hungarian or Polish as well
  • Experience selling to C- level executives
  • Presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Business Acumen : understand levers available to increase sales and to apply these principles to support Refinitiv's strategies;
  • Knows finance, marketing, and operations drivers behind customer decisions

  • Value Creation : Highly skilled at demonstrating the unique value created by Refinitiv's offering and making the business case as to how Refinitiv's offering is uniquely differentiated
  • Investment & Advisory Wide Thinking : Is highly adept at considering customer's larger business and strategic challenges in a wide context and how they might be addressed through Refinitiv offering
  • Proactively hunt for new business, identify and generate sales to existing and new customers
