MATERIALS & QUALITY ENGINEER APPAREL & GEAR (M / F / D)
In this important role, you will be responsible for specifying, developing, and qualifying fabric materials and trims from conceptual briefings to bulk production.
You will be collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, such as development management, product management and product design, as well as external supply chain partners in Europe and Asia.
KEY MISSION AND ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Formulate Apparel & Gear fabric strategy and create seasonal material briefs based on product range direction, technical innovation, and brand sustainability targets
Establish processes and tools for the management of all technical development aspects, such as fabric performance, functional finishes, prints, dyes, lab dip- & color development
Development and validation of fabric materials and trims for apparel and gear products within briefing guidance and development calendar, from pre-season through to bulk production
Establish and run testing program for new material and trim developments, from R&D stage to in-season lab & field testing, ensuring quality and functional requirements are met
Monitor relevant industry regulations across key markets and secure continued compliance
Build and maintain strong relationships with external supply chain partners and internal materials procurement team, securing on-time, on-cost, and on-quality development
Creation and maintenance of key product data, using established PLM- and database systems
Ongoing support and close collaboration with key internal stakeholders (e.g. : development manager, product management, product designer, Asian sourcing- & procurement teams)
YOUR PROFILE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES :
Bachelor or master’s degree in textile materials engineering, textile design or related field
Professional experience in materials- and trim development, preferably within the performance apparel industry
Sound knowledge of textiles and textile manufacturing processes from fibre, yarn, knit and woven material construction, to lamination and finishing
Ability to manage multiple projects and / or priorities with high levels of ownership and accountability
Sound proficiency in MS Office applications, additional experience with PLM software (e.g. : Centric) preferred
Business-fluent English skills required, additional German language skill preferred
Self-motivated, well-organized team player with a pro-active and collaborative working style
Ability to communicate effectively inside the organization, as well as externally with overseas development teams and supply chain partners
Passionate about performance apparel products, skiing, and the greater outdoors

The annual collective agreement’s minimum salary for this position is € 38.000 gross. Depending on your
personal qualifications and vocational experience, we offer an appropriate payment in excess thereof for
