We are seeking a Graduate level Cloud Native Architect to join our Presales team, supporting the sales team in selling our solutions to senior business and technical decision makers in major global corporations headquartered in EMEA.

Working with customers as a key member of the Pre-Sales team, the Graduate Cloud Native Architect will:
Serve as a subject matter expert in the back office and at the client site, addressing the technical, developer, and strategic IT needs
Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification, and the design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
Architect solutions to meet the unique requirements of Oracle's new and emerging customers and oversee proofs of concepts and pilot implementations of Oracle's Cloud Native Linux solutions portfolio
Learn new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
Support the global Oracle Linux Sales Consulting team
We are seeking a high-calibre Graduate Cloud Native Architect with the following skills/experience:
A good honours degree in Computer Science (or similar)
Strong understanding of modern development techniques and processes such as Dev Ops / Cloud Native
Knowledge of application architecture (application servers, integration patterns, microservices, JEE, CI/CD, build management, etc.)
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
An interest, passion, and any experience of working with open source technologies and communities is a plus
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and confident working in a customer facing role with key stakeholders in customer locations across Europe
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
Must be eligible to work in Vienna without a visa/work permit

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Staff Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate Oracle product*s strengths, features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.3 - 5 years business experience preferred; vendor experience also preferred. 3 years relevant computer applications or database/tools preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Knowledge of system and application design preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
