Meeting sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to store staff
Ensuring high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
We are looking for a results driven retail store manager to be responsible for the overall store management. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively.
We are looking for candidates with experience in financial planning, employee recruitment, and retail management. Store manager responsibilities will include supervising assistant store managers.
Key Tasks :
Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc
Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)
Be a shining example of well behavior and high performance
Additional store manager duties as needed
Managing the rota, supervisor and store assistants
Managing stock and conducting inventories and audits as required
Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales
Analysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning
Using information technology to record sales figures, analyse data and forward plan
Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews
Providing or organising training and development
Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
Resolving health and safety, legal and security issues
Responding to customer complaints and comments
Organising special promotions, displays and events
Attending and chairing meetings
Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues
Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what competitors are doing
Initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. Revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market
Dealing with sales, as and when required.

BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field Desirable
