In this role you will be responsible for both the mid-term (tactical) procurement planning using the Advanced Planning and Optimizer tool (APO) and short-term (tactical) material availability.

You will handle business planning preparations including the organization and guidance of global trainings in order to secure that business planning requirements can be met by subsidiaries and internal stakeholders.

Further, you will analyse actual versus plan with respect to demand, supply and quality and take corrective action if necessary.

You will be responsible for the entire purchase-to-pay process for our POS Materials ensuring a continuous order process, taking into account capabilities and constraints of the supply chain with a focus on economic order quantities, lead times, costs and optimized stock levels.

You will supervise new POS Material launches from a planning perspective, monitor the milestones of the master data process and consolidate initial country demands in order to define a procurement strategy.

You will also initiate actions for obsolete and aging inventory of POS Materials.

Since the long-term procurement planning will serve as input for sourcing & contracting of POS Materials, you are responsible for the correctness of the planning results and the dependent requirements.

You will share the long-term procurement planning with internal and external stakeholders and continuously improve the planning processes, support / implement / initiate supply chain and cross-functional projects.

You will also act as business lead for cross-functional projects.

You will work with a team of POS Planners and be responsible for your team’s performance and development. You will also act as Key-user for systems like SAP ERP MM, BI, APO and MDG.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

  • 5 years professional experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Ideally familiar with SAP / R3, BI and Advanced Planning Systems (e.g. SAP APO)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office applications
  • Analytical and conceptual skills
  • Pragmatic approach for problem solving
  • Highly organized and quality oriented with a hands-on mentality
  • Decisive, proactive and drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work efficiently with a high level of energy in a demanding and continuously changing environment
  • Master degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Travel 10%
