Job Description

16! Be part of the Biologics Analytical Operations team within Schaftenau and support the development of 16 Biologic products.

Your laboratory team is key in developing Biosimilars as well as new Biologic drugs by releasing them for clinical trials under current GMP guidelines and defining the shelf life of the product.

In addition, you are playing a central role to maintain and qualify the equipment within our department.

Your Responsibilities :

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Plan, lead and manage all analytical activities and projects in the team in accordance to budgets, project plans, timelines and resources
  • Manage a technicians and scientists team, being responsible for personnel development and work plan development, review and assessment
  • Design, plan and supervise GMP testing (e.g. release of clinical material, stability trials)
  • Supervise validation and transfers of analytical methods
  • Support of internal and external audits
  • Contribute to maintenance and qualification of infrastructure / equipment within the department under GMP guidelines. Actively support to achieve an efficient laboratory or technical procedure workflow
  • Review and approval of raw data and analytical results
  • Evaluation, interpretation, reporting and presentation of results
  • Minimum requirements

    What you’ll bring to the role :

  • University degree (e.g. Master) with 4+ years' work experiences, or PhD with 2+ years of experience in life sciences (e.
  • g. Pharmacy, Biotechnology) or equivalent

  • Proven experience within GMP environment
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken), German of advantage
  • Detailed understanding of respective methods in process or analytical development
  • Strong leadership skills and strong communication skills
  • Desirable requirements :

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory and / or technical tools / equipment
  • Decent knowledge of software and computer tools

    The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least € 50,374.
