Job Description

Shpock is recruiting an experienced senior design leader who will inspire and grow the product design team that creates and builds the user experiences our customers value.

Today Shpock is reaching millions of people living in the United Kingdom and beyond. Your role is at the center of this to unlock the true potential of our mobile marketplace.

What you will do

Lead a team of four product designers (and growing) across multiple locations and enable them to grow through best-practices and attention to detail to ensure consistency and impact

You will provide context, coaching and guidance as the team works toward our business objectives you will inspire, not merely direct

Establish and be the champion for a strong product design culture across the whole company

Support and coach the designers in cross-functional squads to deliver end-to-end - from research, through UX and UI, to micro-interactions and delight

Be the owner of our design system, enabling us to provide a consistent experience to our users

Work directly with the CPO and CTO to apply an efficient and robust cross-functional design process

Work closely together with our product and engineering teams, collaborating with them on key projects

Take a hands on leadership approach and actively support your team members in their tasks when needed

You have

Deep expertise as a product designer, with an ability to focus on the details, but also at an abstract and conceptual level

Experience in leading or coaching a team of designers

A proven track record of building world-class native mobile app experiences

Ability to communicate your strategic design decisions and manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

Proficiency in modern design tools

An interest in emerging design trends and patterns

Experience with marketplaces or e-commerce products, would be nice

We offer an attractive salary for this position based on your qualifications and experience. Austrian law requires us to post a minimum salary for this position, which is € 70.

000,- gross per year (for a full-time job). Of course we are ready to pay more. We will treat your application in strict confidence!
