Role Summary :
This position is responsible for driving performance excellence from our supplier through the deployment of Flowserve enterprise supplier performance program and processes.
This will include evaluating and developing suppliers to ensure their performance and that their capabilities are optimized in accordance with Flowserve quality expectations as well as global category strategy need.
This position will evaluate supplier quality data trends for the recommendation and management of supplier risk to product and process performance.
This role requires regular regional and international travel and is open to candidates legally able to travel freely and permitted to work and reside in either Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria or Hungary.
Responsibilities & Requirements : You will be involved in the following tasks :
Bring your technical expertise across the organization
Manage global electronics suppliers in conjunction to Flowserve site requirements
Perform global supplier validation audits, with supplier support and Flowserve Product Approval Process
Work with R&D, Design and Engineering to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements
Lead the global supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing / technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks
Manage supplier high profile non-conformance and deviation activities; identify and drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Work with global team to perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues
Support new product introduction to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards
Lead the Supplier Development & ramp-up process including part qualification and certification process
Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
Provide concise, complete and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to area of responsibility
Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers
Support the Supplier Performance Group to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance
Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system
Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements
What do you need for this job :
Bachelors Degree in engineering, supply chain, or other related technical fields
Preferred trained or certified under IPC-A-610 and J-Standard -001 and / or other IPC and JTD series, knowledge of electronics CE, UL, IEC markings requirements
History of identifying and resolving quality and delivery issues, including part containment, risk assessment, utilization of formal quality RC-CA tools and processes.
Capability to inspect, verify parts and processes (1st piece, source inspection, material certs, First Articles Inspection)
Technical expertise in industrial manufacturing electronic and associated components and processes
Electronics process knowledge, pick and place machines (SMT-Reflow), Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), Through Hole Technology, Functional tests, Electronic Repairs and Soldering
Capable of Audit Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Programs, Product Preservation and Traceability
Knowledge in lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%)
Preferred Experience / Skills :
Masters degree in engineering, supply chain, or other related field
Planning and prioritizing activities, and Understanding of cost and financial impacts
