As an Engineering Manager, you are a key player in helping to build a strong, effective and happy team and creating conditions for everyone in the team to work in their most efficient way by helping the team with the (Agile) processes.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENGINEERING MANAGER AT COLLIBRA :
As an Engineering Manager, your mission will be to build a strong, effective and happy teams. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including :
Lead by example on a daily basis and thus growing and managing a world-class team and scaling the company for growth.
Plays a key role in helping projects meet business, schedule and budget objectives and will be responsible for the whole of a project from inception through to completion and will be responsible for the full delivery.
Build the team spirit on a daily basis and motivate and inspire people to work proactively.
Organizing (retrospective) meetups, the necessary trainings and conferences at the office, to foster this growth and allow knowledge transfer.
Act as a people manager, by enabling your team members to achieve career and personal growth through one-to-one meetings and supporting them where needed (active listening, coaching, mentoring, )
Assist the team in the identification, prioritization, and removal of impediments and resolve conflicts when necessary, help team to learn how to handle them.
Create conditions and help the team with the (Agile) processes and make sure the team works as efficiently as possible, given the priorities and boundaries jointly agreed with stakeholders
Know your team, all the team members have strengths and weaknesses - help the team use them in their advantage
Be the contact person for the team inside and outside (customers, support, pre-sales, research, education, etc)
Engaging the team to take key decisions together and create and foster a culture of self-organization with a high level of ownership and accountability.
Conducting yearly evaluations and guarding the Collibra values.
Collaborating closely with the recruitment team to hire engineers.
Being an active member of the management team.
