Job description

In the development of the Gate Drivers for automotive applications, special care needs to be taken to comply with the EMC specifications, to keep the overall power dissipation within acceptable limits and last but not least not to spend too large amounts of silicon area for the circuit implementation to stay competitive.

For this new Gate Driver an existing basic concept idea using configurable constant current sources needs to be further developed and implemented in a BCD power technology at the 130mm node.

The resulting circuit should be mature enough to be used in system simulations and to be handed over to layout for putting it on a test chip.

It is the clear target of Infineon to use this circuit in the next generation gate driver ICs.

In your new role you will :

  • be employed at Infineon Technologies Graz with a dedicated Master-Thesis contract.
  • work in close cooperation with the development sites in Graz and Munich which also includes travelling between the sites
  • Further information :

    Duration : 6-8 months fulltime

    Starting date : immediately (working permit for Non-EU citizens takes about 6 weeks)

    Master students receive a compensation of 2.210 , Euro gross p.m. (fulltime basis)


    You are best equipped for this task if you :

  • are a master student in electronic egineering or similar with specialisation in Analog / Chip -Design
  • have experience with Cadence Virtuoso
  • have good communication skills (fluent in English, German is a plus)
