We arecurrently looking to recruit a Fire Safety Engineer (M / F / 0) for oursite in Vienna, Austria.
Working within the engineering in a crossfunction area, you will be responsible for all urban rail vehicles.(trams / subways).
You will be responsible for ensuring thecompliance by the vehicles with the fire protection requirements atall stages of a project development.
Definition, coordination and testing forconstructive fire protection and choice ofmaterials
Evaluation of components andmaterials offered by suppliers regarding fire protectionsuitability
Initiation / monitoring of tests inthe fire laboratory and / orcertificates
Systematics of standards andregulations and active influence
Fireprotection engineering support in the bidphase
Fire protection reports for currentprojects
Classification of vehicles accordingto their project-related firehazard
Project-related list of requirementsfor the fire behaviour of materials and components as well asselection of appropriate materials -
constantly updated by takingnew material developments intoaccount
Supervise constructional fireprotection safety requirements in the projects and set up rules forproject planning and construction
Superviseproject-specific fire protection requirements for electricalequipment
Specifications for project-relatednecessary fire protection control / fire protection systems,monitoring and management systems
Close cooperation withthe fire laboratories, the approval authorities and the standardscommittees
Professional guidance of employeesin the design of assemblies regarding fireprotection
4- year university education (e.g. in the field of mechanicalengineering, vehicle technology or materialstechnology)
Basic knowledge of the use ofmaterials typical for rail vehicles, material composites, andespecially for interior finishingmaterials
Good knowledge ofEnglish
Extensive computer skills, knowledgeof SAP
Knowledge about fire saftey standard EN45545 helpful (European FIRE SAFTEY STANDARD for rail vehicles).Good communication skills.
Ability to work ina team and be creativite and work to a high workloadcapability
The minimum salary for thisposition is, according to the collective agreement, from € 2,574.68gross / month on a full-time employment basis (14 times a year).
Anoverpayment is possible depending on relevant work experience and / or qualification.
