An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical-Technical and Research Manager to join our dynamic Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, based in Vienna.

As Clinical-Technical and Research Manager CEE you will be responsible to lead and develop the Clinical Technical team, indirectly managing a team of field-based clinical technical professionals.

You will develop business plans in alignment with the sales, marketing and customer service managers as well as with distributors and other business partners, ensuring that this is broken-down into achievable short-term objectives for the clinical technical and research team.

You develop, direct and control the Clinical Technical & Research functional plan and expertise in the CEE region, while sharing Clinical-Technical related opportunities and risks within CEE and the EMEA organization.

Key accountabilities :

  • Take part in the development of annual and 3-Year business plans
  • Define and monitor clinical technical & research related policies, processes and tools
  • Ensure functional excellence in clinical technical support activities
  • Monitor clinical technical skills and drive / deliver related training & education
  • Drive, support and coordinate research and clinical study activities
  • People management and organisational development
  • Key requirements :

  • University degree (Master) in Audiology, Biomedical / Electrical Engineering or related field. Theoretical background in hearing implant technology
  • 10+ years total work experience (may include research activities parallel to studies),
  • thereof 5+ years of experience in hearing sector.
  • Experience in research and clinical studies, fluency in working within international matrix organization.
  • Experience in team management, leadership.
  • Communication / interpersonal skills : excellent written & verbal communication / social skills.
  • Training / moderation skills : conducts and / or supports trainings and workshops.
  • Team cooperation : acts in an interface function, having to coordinate with various functional representatives on a regular basis.
  • High level of customer orientation.
  • German, English (fluent written / spoken), other languages spoken in markets (CEE) is an advantage
