We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has an extensive understanding of the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the business practices of the F&B Industry and how technology can be applied to improve the customers operations and drive efficiency in all areas of the business. Previous experience working with restaurant labour, inventory, or point of sale applications is highly desired. An understanding of enterprise-based hierarchical data management, as well as a high level understanding of application integration methods, is central to performing regular duties. This role is within a group in Pre-Sales whose main focus is on developing self-service sales support solutions and wide ranging collateral to support our sales force. Previous experience in pre-sales is highly valuable. As a member of a virtual global team travel will be rarely required however due to time zone challenges working occasional flexible hours is expected.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Focus on creating sales support collateral
  • Develop productivity tools and training for the sales community
  • Lead and deliver remote solution demonstrations
  • Facilitate rapid response sales communication channels by engaging with online conversation forums with sales reps
  • Communicate complex technical concepts simply, to non-technical individuals
  • Host and moderate on-line workshops with the sales force
  • Build and contribute to online knowledge bases
  • Innovate and create effective sales support processes
  • This role can be home-based in the Netherlands, UK, Belgium, Austria, Sweden or Denmark. If you love being with people in an office then that is possible too!

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

    As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

    Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
