Head of Procurement Project Manager
We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Portfolio PPM (Procurement Project Management)
in our locations in Vienna
Purpose of the job
The Head of Procurement Project Management (PPM) is managing our Project Procurement Management Team for execution of projects from contract start (NTP) until end of warranty.
You will be leading the Procurement & Supply chain activities for the dedicated projects within your scope.
You will be accountable and responsible for the acquisition, development and management of your dedicated team members.
You will also be accountable to drive excellence in Procurement activities, especially interfaces between Design, Quality, Production, Project Management, Finance, Regional and Global Functions during project execution.
Your Key Accountabilities
Manage the allocated resources to enable them to ensure a flawless project execution. He / she is in particular accountable and responsible to manage performance, provide feedback including continuous improvement and interface management and support team members, act as steering partner for various level of local, regional and global management teams for project execution topics;
Acts as point of escalation for the dedicated Team and support the PPM teams in their allocated projects. Will be accountable and responsible to enforce the implementation and execution of Procurement & Supply Chain (PSC) processes and tools for the allocated projects.
Furthermore, is accountable for the implementation and execution of strategic PSC, continuous Improvement and Transformation Initiatives within the scope.
Ensure that design and schedule critical items are planned and monitored during project phase. The Head of PPM must ensure the PPM related governance is respected in his team and he acts as point of escalation, therefore : is accountable that the dedicated PPM s represents PSC in several Meetings or Steering Boards such as : Risk and Opportunity Reviews (ROP), Gate reviews, Supplier Claim Reviews, Earned at Completion (EAC) Reviews, Cost saving / Margin, (ECPO) and Enhancement Program, Planning & Progress Reviews;
Manage the material cost performance (TAC) for his scope. Consolidate Reporting of Material Savings for all projects if applicable in close Alignment with Global and Regional commodity and the Product Procurement and Design teams.
Commercial or technical University degree or equivalent through experience, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success
Min 8 years of experience in Procurement, Engineering or Project Management, technical exposure and financial analysis and forecasting
Proficient in English and German
Experience in Leadership of people
Strong analytical skills, Solid Procurement / supply Chain as well as Production knowledge
Having Personality in Building Partnership, Communication skills and Being result oriented
Advanced level in Microsoft Office Applications, E-mail application, Advanced working knowledge in ERP systems, eProcurement tools, Web-Browser, Planning tools eg. Primavera
