Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued an Order on August 19, 2021 which requires workers working in a healthcare setting at all local and state correctional facilities and detention centers be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Therefore, all workers identified under the CDPH Order are required to either be vaccinated or submit a medical or religious accommodation.
While working through either of these interactive processes, staff shall wear an N95 mask and test twice-weekly (with at least 72 hours between each test) until they comply with the August 19, 2021 CDPH Order.
Under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse II / III, Correctional Facility (CF), the Registered Nurse (RN), CF organizes and provides necessary nursing care in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program requirements in a variety of correctional health care settings.
The RN, CF in collaboration with the health care team ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care topatients and coordinates interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care.
The RN, CF is responsible for addressing the ongoing health care needs of patients and for promoting the timely, efficient, and appropriate use of health care resources.

Requirements (minimum qualifications) :
Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse in California.(Applicants who do not meet this requirement will be admitted to theexamination, but they must secure the required license before they will beconsidered eligible for appointment.)
All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications (MQ’s) of the classification, per SPB Rule 250, with the exception of Training & Development (T&D) Assignment.
