You will center on counseling senior partners and partners on professional transitions and choices. You will contribute to developing the senior talent of the firm and create support and guidance that have proven valuable in the retention of our top talent especially strategic populations.
You will report into the global leader of Partner Personnel, with a dotted line to the regional people leader. You will be part of the regional people leadership team and participate in relevant people and other leadership meetings.
You will be focused on a number of different items aimed at counseling our senior partners and partners.
First and foremost, you will be a coach to the broader partnership as this role provides broad support to the partner population as individual partners and senior partners need a thought partner on professional choices (leadership growth plan shifts / interim roles / blue currency, sabbaticals), personal choices (leaves / balance, hardship), feedback and progression (evaluation criteria, evaluation feedback, executive coaching resources).
clarifying and synching partner and senior partner programs; launching COVID related coaching support; analyzing implications of s-curves on partner programs and flexibility option.
themes such as direct elect and mobility support; executive coaching needs; knowledge building for local PD team. Role will ensure that the PD community is getting credentialed in the partner space and convenes the community as a group or pulls them in individually to make the most of this group’s involvement in supporting the partner space.
Finally, in this role, you will provide proactive deep support for partner populations. For this role the populations of focus are partners returning from longer leaves and re-integrating, partners integrating to offices post a mobility, potentially a cadre of direct elect partners, partners making the decision on whether to continue with the firm, and senior partners departing into connected roles with the firm (new ambassador program, Special Advisor program).
Support entails a cadence of scheduled connections that provide a safe space for counseling partners around their goals, obstacles, and transitions.
Director needs to leverage knowledge of the partner path and obstacles / realities common to their circumstances.
