Eaton is looking for an

Analyst IT Infrastructure ,

located in Vienna, Austria.

The primary function of this position is providing support for the client and telecommunications infrastructure within the Vienna site, having an overview of the centralized support for IT applications and systems in order to guarantee timely, reliable and cost-efficient service for employees and customers, assisting in routine work in relation to networks - especially LAN, PCs, servers, telephony and similar systems.

The job holder has a detailed technical understanding of the existing systems, he tests and evaluates systems as part of a team and helps with error analysis.

He creates documentation and develops procedural instructions together with other team members.

The job holder can travel to other locations to represent a colleague in absence, project work and audits as a member of the Site Infrastructure Support (SIS) organization in EMEA.

He is also responsible for working with developers and the Project Management Office (PMO) to work on initiatives that are part of the Eaton Business System (EBS).

Job responsibilities :

  • Provides 1st and 2nd level support for multiple locations with regard to hardware and software in order to offer the customer a (transitional) solution.
  • Participates in projects and leads initiatives as directed by SIS (Site Infrastructure Support).
  • Acts as the main point of contact for client-side support for the Vienna site and supports clients from other locations (remotely).
  • Coordinates, plans, tests, implements and documents application upgrades or patches in order to keep the software in the supported branches up to date.
  • Collects information to ensure compliance with IT key figures.
  • Manages Windows / Intel software and hardware to ensure license compliance and asset management according to Eaton guidelines.
  • Implements software and hardware updates to support IT initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Looks for ways to increase the efficiency of end users.
  • Maintains the infrastructure to keep downtimes low and the quality of the IT environment high.
  • Provides 1st level server support for local servers to ensure a robust server environment
  • Finds out about current topics in the IT industry.
  • Carries out regular audits in various branches to ensure compliance with IT standards.
  • Provides support during absence of team colleagues as part of the Site Infrastructure Support (SIS) organization in EMEA.
  • Qualifications

  • Vocational education in the IT field with at least 3 years of professional experience; verifiable certifications (ITIL, MCSA or similar) would be a plus
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems
  • Good knowledge of networks and telephony
  • Experience in dealing with production systems is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ERP is an advantage
