You'll be responsible for the continuous evolution of the operational risk framework in line with best practices and evolving regulatory requirements.
More importantly, you will partner across organization and drive cross-functional initiatives for the removal of root causes of most frequent / high-risk operational risk events and continue to evolve scenario analysis and forward-looking operational risk framework to support operational resilience.
You will be accountable to establish and maintain strong relationships with outsourcing partners and be responsible for the definition, refinement, and deployment of the outsourcing strategy of WUIB and provide direction and guidance for implementation of effective outsourcing framework.
In this role, you will also manage a team and be tasked with providing a shared vision and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders and be seen as a subject matter expert, providing updates on trends in the wider industry to help identify risks.
You will provide training materials and be a source of guidance to the business and a thought leader in relation to risk matters.
For such a critical role, you will need to have a healthy number of years of relevant experience, either in enterprise risk, non-financial risk, operational risk, risk control, audit, or similar discipline with deep oversight of key process.
This experience will need to be within the financial services or / and banking industry that has given you exposure in interacting with leaders of all levels, including C-suite.
You will need to have experience in managing teams and be an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change for the wider organization.
You'll need to have excellent risk research and analytical skills with the ability to select the most important facts and drive conclusion out of it.
Being an exceptional problem solver with the ability to communicate risk culture concepts and recommendations to business partners is a must.
