Agile Coach Lead

Knowledge :
An understanding of agile and lean principles and approaches.
Exposure to Scrum or Kanban and at least one approach to scaling agile
Leadership behaviours to create high performing teams
Experience :
Leadership using a developmental, coaching first style, drawing on team strengths
Leading teams and facilitating team progress
People management including performance and development.
Understanding of the Financial Services sector (Desirable)
Some experience of working agile environments
Change management and transformation
Skills :
Blending coaching and directional leadership depending on situation
Facilitation skills and an ability to focus team energy towards an agreed outcome
Sufficient agile skills to enable the agile coaches to be most effective
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead the Agile Coach Team
Co-create Vision, goals and make decisions to focus and coordinate team initiatives
Line management, including performance and development
Identify opportunities to improve the quality and effectiveness of change, whilst promoting an open and inclusive environment.
Ensuring productive and sustainable ways of working
Coaching and mentoring teams in support of them becoming more autonomous
Evolve team / product telemetry and encourage data driven, results orientated decision making
Engaging with the other Agile Coaches and the wider business to demonstrate and embed behaviours that reflect our values
Facilitate improvement of our continuous delivery capabilities
Predicting and removing impediments, directly and through process improvements
Increase team agility by providing expertise on agile methods and transformation, considerate of Hl’s context and ambitions
Forming relationships to partner with sister teams across the technology organisation
