Purpose :

We believe in a DevOps culture where engineering teams own their code from commit to deployment, from continuous testing to continuous delivery, from quality to monitoring.

The Platform Team plays a critical role in supporting the teams with building tooling, automations and pipelines, and by providing mentoring and promoting a DevOps culture.

What you will do :

As part of a newly formed platform team (3 team members), you will be working together with other engineers and operations to support the enhancement of our DevOps capabilities and culture to accelerate our product development lifecycle.

While we have capabilities like version control, CI and deployment automation in place, we are looking to enhance our capabilities with the first focus on test automation, test data management and leveraging cloud infrastructures.

  • Implement and improve monitoring and alerting.
  • Work closely with the product teams to understand their challenges
  • Build automation and pipelines to help teams deliver with ease
  • Mentor how DevOps capabilities can help to deliver painless and efficient
  • Manage and improve CI / CD tooling.
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
  • Write scripts and automation using Python / Bash / Ruby
  • Implement and improve monitoring and alerting
  • Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc
  • Current Stack :

    We are using a mix of different tools and technologies for different purposes and platforms.

    CI : Travis, Jenkins, GitLab

    Version Control : Git, GitHub, GitHub Enterprise

    Infrastructure / Cloud infrastructure / Containerisation

    Mainly running on-premise (with the ongoing transition to public cloud), set up with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker. Also running services in GCP and AWS.

    We are open to exploring different solutions but have a preference for technologies that are provided or used by our parent company Adevinta : Travis CI, GitHub Enterprise, AWS.


    Who are we looking for?

  • You have a DevOps mindset
  • Experience building CI / CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and knowledge of Python or Ruby
  • Extensive knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS
  • Nice-to-have :

  • You enjoy advocating a DevOps culture
  • Experience with GCP

    We offer an attractive salary for this position based on your qualifications and experience. Austrian law requires us to post a minimum salary for this position, which is 50.

    000,- gross per year (for a full-time job). We are willing to pay more depending on your experience. We will treat your application in strict confidence!
