  • Setting up the skill team; technical supervision and line management of the skill team
  • Development of software-based features for vehicle connectivity, interaction with vehicle occupants and the vehicle environment, plus user experience and services, testing and release of the application software
  • Definition of system requirements and development of specifications in the fields of vehicle connectivity, evaluation of user experience, advanced HMI integration and user interfaces, as well as interfaces between edge-based and cloud-based functionalities
  • Implementation and support of development projects of international automobile manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers, as also new service providers and digital platforms
  • Instructing employees in terms of classic and agile development methods
  • Communication with customers and suppliers of system components
  • Close cooperation with other vehicle development and simulation teams
  • Designing the AVL Connectivity Engineering portfolio; strong networking with the globally active AVL Work Groups
  • Decisions on the deployment of your skill team members in projects
  • Active technical and methodical coaching of the members of your skill team
  • Hiring of staff and personnel development - conducting appraisal interviews and compiling staff appraisals
  • Planning and ownership of requirement analysis spreadsheets, capacity utilization and investments and R&D for the skill team
  • Providing the necessary capacities and involving third party service suppliers
  • Representing the skill team at technical conferences and meetings

  • Mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronic engineering, electrical engineering, telematics or control engineering graduate of a university of technology / university of applied sciences
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the development of automotive HMI, infotainment features or components, vehicle connectivity
  • Profound knowledge of vehicle electronics, calibration, components and system integration
  • Sound knowledge of both classic and agile development processes
  • Business-minded person with entrepreneurial initiative
  • Teamwork skills, creativity, sense of responsibility
  • Professional experience in personnel management employing a cooperative style of leadership
  • Ability to cooperate and coordinate with other AVL departments
  • Sensitivity and a sense of in-house and external customer requirements and criticism

  • Annual Remuneration : Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation : €90,000.
