CEU Career Services Office The CEU Career Services Office (CSO) plays a leading role in institutional efforts to ensure that the university's graduates are prepared to transform their CEU experience into meaningful professional engagement.

The CSO works directly with students and alumni, offering guidance, support, and information to help them develop and pursue personal visions for impact and success all over the world.

This includes the organization of multiple opportunities each year for students and alumni to engage with the office and learn about career paths and gain fundamental career development skills.

The office also cultivates partnerships with current and potential employer partners in order to foster awareness of the value of a CEU education and to create opportunities for CEU students and alumni.

CEU's degree programs are primarily in the social sciences and liberal arts.The team member will serve as an integral member of the CSO team, collaborating with other team members on a range of initiatives, events, and activities.

Each team member serves as the lead for specific functional programs and / or projects. The main functional area of responsibility for this role will be Engagement Measurement and Reporting.

Additionally, the team member will serve as a career advisor to specific student groups as detailed below. Engagement Measurement and Reporting Engagement Measurement and Reporting is the CSO's channel for understanding how student and alumni engage with the office, gathering their feedback, and reporting on graduate career outcomes.

This drives evidence-based decision-making within the office and contributes to broader institutional storytelling and reporting.

The new team member will serve as the lead on this functional area, with activities including :

Developing and implementing mechanisms for tracking and reporting on student and alumni engagement with the office and their feedback regarding office programming, events, and services.

Overseeing the CSO's flagship engagement mechanism, the SPARK Your Career Certificate Program.

Developing and implementing annual and semi-annual graduate first destination surveys and creating tailored career outcomes reports for specific internal and external audiences based on the information gathered.

Career Advising The team member will serve as the main career advisor to dedicated student groups in the social sciences and humanities.

This involves responsibilities and duties including :

Conducting one-on-one career advising sessions with CEU students and alumni on common career development topics;

Engaging directly with assigned student populations via email and conducting other outreach to promote CSO initiatives;

Organizing and facilitating in-person and / or virtual career education and / or employer events;

Identifying job, internship and fellowship opportunities of relevance to CEU students and alumni and sharing this information via CEU's careers platform, CareerNext;

Gathering information about employers of potential relevance to specific student groups and attending occasional meetings with current and potential employer partners;

Contributing conscientiously to CSO efforts to track student engagement with the office. The team member may be assigned additional functional programs or projects.

Qualifications and skills : Mandatory :

Experience administering surveys and feedback forms, cleaning and analyzing data, and reporting on results.

Experience presenting data in a visually compelling way and ability to effectively tell a story with data.

Teaching / presenting, tutoring, mentoring and / or career counseling experience, ideally career or academic advising in international higher education or international organizations.

Excellent program / project management skills and experience in coordinating complex team initiatives.

Experience in developing and facilitating educational workshops and / or trainings and in designing educational / training materials.

A strong learning inclination (i.e. takes pleasure in constant learning on the job).

Excellent attention to detail.

Experience in working and / or studying in a multi-cultural environment.

High level of competency with tools such as Excel, Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms, Infogr.am.

High level of comfort using videoconference technology and other tools for conducting meetings and hosting virtual events.

University degree (Bachelor's or higher, Master's preferred).

Near native-level fluency in English (written and oral). Assets :

Knowledge of career paths pursued by graduate and / or undergraduate university graduates of degree programs in the social sciences and humanities in the non-profit, public, multilateral and / or private sectors, both within and outside of Europe.

Compensation : The annual gross salary starts at 42,000 EUR. The actual final salary might be higher depending on the seniority and level of expertise of the selected candidate.

Additional benefits are possibility to work one day / week from home and some additional fringe benefits.The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
