The Role

Dematic has an immediate opening for a Material Handling Solutions Account Manager in Graz, Austria or Zwijndrecht, Belgium.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated successes in Material Handling Systems and Solutions Sales. Only candidates with demonstrated success in selling Material Handling Solutions will be considered.

The candidate’s experience in solution selling will be utilized to support external sales channels in their selling activities to the end user.

The successful candidate will also coach a dedicated technical support team, guiding them to develop winning solutions for the end-

user, and proposals to the Channel Partner. The candidate must have a customer-focused mindset of responsiveness and creativity to solve problems.

  • Plans and manages the overall operation of the unit and / or sales channels to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates and directs the day-to-day sales efforts of assigned Account Representatives to meet sales revenue, profit, and / or expense objectives for direct and / or channel sales.
  • Meets or exceeds stated sales goals for the business.
  • Recruits, trains, and directs sales efforts of sales support engineers, account representatives, and administrative personnel.
  • Prepares growth forecasts for entire business unit and / or sales channels to ensure the highest level of service.
  • Successfully defines workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness.
  • What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree.
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for supervised work group(s).
  • Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.
  • 3-5 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
  • Due to the locations of the Sales Channel Partners and of our virtual support team, a willingness to travel throughout Europe up to 50% is required.
  • Fluency in English is a minimum requirement. Fluency in German, Spanish, French, or Italian is desirable.
