As a Lead Principal System Architect and System Application Engineer you will take over responsibility for defining future projects and roadmaps focusing on eAviation and further emerging applications with focus on the power electronic systems.

Analyze the application requirements derived from the system architectures and contribute technical expertise to develop the application roadmap "eAviation" and further emerging applications with focus on the power electronics systems

Identify, evaluate and drive innovation ideas for system architecture solutions based on deep application and product understanding as well as technical trend scouting

Collect and evaluate customer requirements and derive feasible solutions on system level

Identify Infineon’s best product offering for the application eAviation and further emerging applications

Provide expert application level support to prepare design-ins and understand worldwide trends in standardization and assess technical impacts

Support the global Application Marketing teams with interactions with customers in evaluating whether the proposed Infineon solution offering meets customer's application requirements

Leverage cross-functional knowledge to gain new customers and collaborate with global functions (Application Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Definition Engineering) and R&D within and outside the IPC Division

Contribute significantly to functional area business value , Design-Win and revenue development

Define and support system reference designs and promote them

Develop and support the Sales and R&D organizations with application-level training sessions

Represent Infineon (in terms of application understanding) at technical conferences, trade fairs, standards bodies and industry associations

Your communication skills allied with a strong customer orientation makes you the right person for these tasks. Furthermore, you balance the customers requirements and the interests of Infineon by sharing information comprehensively and effectively.

You are best equipped for this task if you have :

A university degree in electrical engineering, electro-mechanics, mechatronics, aeronautics or a related field of study

8+ years of relevant experience in aviation ideally several years in the area of power electronics

Profound expertise and system understanding in the electrical system architectures in planes, multicopters, drones or similar

Knowhow of applicable standards standards

Ability to establish relationships to customers as well as to functional areas to influence and drive decisions within Infineon and the application community

Willingness to travel worldwide to support customers and conferences as application representative for Infineon

Excellent English communication skills including the ability to negotiate, present and report in a convincing manner
