Preclinical Medicines Development

Basic biomedical research conducted in an academic environment is often the foundation for promising new therapeutic strategies.
However, a development process towards clinical translation requires also expertise in taking a non-formulated active component through preclinical studies, which include, but are not limited to, pre-formulation, formulation, drug metabolism, in vivo toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and PK-PD studies.
The successful candidate is expected to pursue independent and collaborative research spanning the preclinical sciences, preferably with an emphasis on advanced medicines, such as biologics, nanomedicines or cell therapies.
The candidate should bring knowledge of industrial drug development to the post and present concrete ideas of how this knowledge is best implemented in an academic setting.
Outstanding candidates in related fields will also be considered.
