Job Introduction

The Senior Controller plays a key role in supporting the Magna Global IT team. Helping to manage the business and improve the overall financial performance.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, they provide Global Support to specific IT functional areas. This role will also provide support for Europe controlling and have oversight of the Global IT Finance department in China.

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Controlling processes for assigned IT functional and regional areas such as monthly, quarterly and year-
  • end reporting, business planning, project accounting and capital expenditure tracking

  • Partner with the Magna Global IT team and provide them with management reporting, business analysis for business decisions and pricing calculation
  • Work with other Corporate functional departments such as Corporate Tax or Treasury to ensure that Global IT meets internal requirements such as e.
  • g. transfer pricing requirements

  • Oversee the Global IT Finance department in China to ensure that the reporting is accurate and complete
  • Knowledge and Education

  • Professional Accounting Designation including a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in Controlling
  • Proven record of supervisory experience (minimum 4 years)
  • Accounting experience to include overseeing / managing company financial summaries such as month-end, year-end and operation reviews, year-
  • end auditing process, general accounting, developing business plans, and analysis of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow

  • Experience working in virtual teams an asset
  • Skills and Competencies

  • Pragmatic, self-starter with strong analytical skills and the ability identify core issues. Strong problem-solving ability to identify practical solutions that work for the business
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively
  • Ability to build solid relationships and to influence across a diverse group of business people with a wide array of professional backgrounds, including executive management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and complete multiple tasks within and across departments to meet established and changing deadlines
  • Strong computer skills : advanced Excel, PowerPoint, data warehouse and ERP systems

    The annual remuneration package for this position is a minimum of EUR 65.000,-. We offer attractive benefits (e.g. employee profit participation program) and a salary which is in line with market conditions depending on your skills and experience.
