Own and drive the end-to-end development of complex Digital IPs and / or SoC subsystems;
Collaborate with system and product management in the definition of product roadmaps, architectures and requirements;
Own and drive project management tasks for all assigned IPs, cooperating with Main Project Manager, Resource Managers, System Architects, IC leads and SoC-level peers.
Track and report the whole development activity in adherence to the adopted development process;
Drive the Quality Assurance process for all assigned IPs, defining effective metrics and efficient methodologies apt to assess the compliance to all product requirements in terms of functional content, resource demands and performance;
Lead and support the assigned team through the whole IP development process, from concept definition, through design, verification and release, till validation on silicon;
Be the technical responsible for all deliverables, artifacts and documents, acting as first contact point and main driver for every customers or stakeholders support;
Take ownership of parts of the subsystem, as test-vehicle for the technical lead and methodology drive role;
Promote innovation within the team, advising and driving methodology updates, as well as technology improvements. Act as a mentor for younger colleagues and students and support the team manager in building competences and selecting talents;
Keep yourself updated with latest design and verification methodologies and / or tools by following courses, seminars, webinars or literature.
Follow and promote internal and external research, when possible through cooperation with universities.
Your profile :
Expert knowledge of Digital Design theory and practice, with special focus on Digital Signal Processing;
Expert knowledge of HDLs, with special focus to Verilog and System-Verilog;
Expert knowledge of ASIC / SoC technologies, IP design and verification process and methodologies, as well as SoC integration and manufacturing process;
Proficiency in concept elaboration and development of DSP solutions (Matlab and Simulink);
Proficiency in programming languages widely adopted in the area of Digital Design : bash / tcsh, tcl / tk, any C dialect, Python or Perl;
Proficiency in Centralized Version Control Systems;
Good knowledge and experience in advanced Digital Verification Methodologies (random constrained, UVM, formal verification);
Good knowledge and experience in lab instrumentation and measurements;
Good knowledge of Engineering & Systems Development Lifecycles;
Proven experience in working in international, multicultural and technically demanding groups;
Excellent spoken and written English skills.
University Degree (Master or PhD) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent;
Strong academical background in microelectronics, theory of communication, theory of systems & control, as well as DSP;
At least 15 years of proven professional experience in Digital Design and Verification;
Proven experience in team and technical lead positions.
