YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Development of connected, predictive and adaptive functions with applications in route planning, velocity and powertrain control
  • Application of optimization methods for function development and performance validation
  • Development and application of system simulation models including vehicle / powertrain, driver, traffic and environment as well as xEV operating strategies for conventional, hybrid, electric and fuel cell powertrains
  • Analysis, interpretation and validation of simulation results
  • Definition of systems and software requirements and testing
  • Support of systems and requirements engineering
  • Joint work across multiple teams spanning over different countries and technical domains
  • Independent technical execution of customer and internal R&D projects
  • Documentation and presentation of project results internally and at customers
  • Planning of simulation and function development projects and support of sales activities
  • YOUR PROFILE :

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent in fields of control, mechatronics, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, physics or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience or a PhD in a related field
  • Experience with modern control theory and optimization methods (e.g. dynamic programming, quadratic programming, model predictive control, ECMS, graph search algorithms)
  • Extensive experience with Matlab / Simulink
  • Experience with vehicle and powertrain simulation tools (e.g., AVL CRUISE M, VSM, CarMaker AMESim, SimulationX, GT Suite, ) preferred
  • Knowledge of ADAS and predictive control technologies such as V2X, digital maps, navigation data and electronic horizon systems
  • Knowledge of hybrid and electric powertrains & components
  • High degree of self-reliance and flexibility, excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Very good command of English
  • Willingness to travel

  • Annual Remuneration : Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation : €51,800.
