What's the role?
In this multifaceted role, you will work within a global team that focus on the manufacturing process of diamond saw blades.
With a global view on the technical processes in our plants in Kecskemet / HU, Navsari / IN and Cypress / US you will participate in the optimization and standardization.
Working in diverse teams, discussing engineering questions and investigating technological interactions are just a few important aspects in your role.
Who is Hilti?
If you’re new to the industry, you might not have heard of us. We provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software and services for the global construction sector.
We have a proud heritage, built over 75 years, and a worldwide reputation for pioneering products and exceptional service.
Our location in Thüringen (AT) stands for highest quality, sophisticated production technologies and trend-setting innovations within the Hilti production network as the lead plant for machining technology and tool assembly.
Besides supplying customers with our series products, we support other plants in the production network with our know-how.
Additionally, we contribute to the development of tomorrow s Hilti products on a daily basis.
What does the role involve?
Tensioning of steel cores is an important step in the manufacturing process of saw blades. The resulting residual stresses in the blade are influencing the customer experience (e.
g. visual wobbling effects) and the performance of the product (e.g. the concentricity during sawing).
In your role you will evaluate influencing factors and standardize the process chain with respect to lead time, costs and product quality.
Against this background you will document the current processes to highlight local differences. Based on the process description you will research on the theoretical fundamentals and document the influencing variables.
In doing so, you will support the initiation of prototypes with a DOE (Design of Experiments) and define measurements to evaluate the process improvements.
Your investigations will be documented and rolled out as a best practice example.
During your work you will have the opportunity to accompany the coordination with stakeholders as well as the discussion in steering meetings.
Hilti has once again been certified as a Great Place to Work® by the Great Place to Work Institute in 2020. Being regularly awarded as a "Great Place to Work" and "World's Best Workplaces" shows our unique corporate culture.
