KeysightTechnologies has been unlocking electronic measurement insights for75 years. No other company offers our depth and breadth ofmeasurement tools and expertise.
Our singular focus helpsscientists and engineers address their toughest challenges withprecision and confidence.
KeysightTechnologies is now looking for an R&D workforceon electrical engineering with a focus on signal processing to beused for various applications in sensor materials and nanoscaledevices.
The work is part of a Marie Curie InitialTraining Network (MC-ITN project acronym BORGES’) with several other European partnersat Universities, research institutions and small companies.
Varioussecondments are planned which are typically 1 month stays atpartner institutions. You will be joining the Keysight LabsR&D site in Linz, Austria, on a three years fixed-termcontract.
The Keysight work will be complementedby the Marie Curie BORGES training program including severalprofessional-skill training modules.
Also, the PhD enrolment atUniversity of Linz is encouraged in the frame of this job. As aconsequence, we will provide a comprehensive set of transferableskills relevant for innovation and long-termemployability.
Youwill contribute to the development and optimization ofvarious measurement systems and corresponding electricalengineering tasks, both on the hardware and software level.
Theelectrical measurement challenges are at various frequencies andtied to different electrical measurement hardware and applied tosensor applications.
Mostly, Keysight test equipment willbe adapted for various application scenarios, including softwarefor controlling the hardware and calibration procedures thatoperate with high accuracy.
Various calibration methods will bedeveloped, together with signal processing algorithms. Measurementsat low signal levels will be performed including data analysis and,in some cases, physics modelling.
The technical work in the lab andthe data analytics is followed by reporting and discussion withinthe wider Keysight team.
You have a specific background inelectrical engineering, and you are broadly interested inmeasurement science and sensor applications.
As such working on theintersection of various disciplines and focused on electricalengineering.
Scientific working styleand scientific publishing is encouraged for this kind of project, also in line with Keysight Labs philosophy.
This allows alsoparticipation at University lectures and the intention is toachieve a PhD degree within this framework. The position will fromtime to time require traveling to meet with the partners within theMarie Curie consortium, roughly 1-
2 months per year secondment at apartner institution of BORGES. Those visits will allow you also tobetter understand the collaboration partner’s measurementtest needs and requirements.
The work will also require regularcommunication and alignment with Keysight colleagues across theworld.
We are lookingfor a candidate, fluent in English (written and oral) with apassion of electrical engineering, measurement science, and sensorapplications.
You are open minded, rigorous in reporting progressand willing to endorse new test methods. You have the followingskills :
