With this professorship, the faculty is broadening and deepening its focus in the field of climate and environmental law.
The professorship will be organisationally linked to the Institute of Public Law and Political Science and the ClimLaw : Graz Research Centre for Climate Law.
The focus of research and teaching will be on international and European climate law as well as public law in connection with the Field of Excellence Climate Change Graz .
Proven ability for interdisciplinary research and teaching, especially in English, participation in national and international research networks as well as attracting third-party funds in highly competitive procedures is preferred.
We also expect gender mainstreaming skills.
Skills / Qualifications
Employment requirements :
Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate / PhD) in the field of international law, European law or public law
Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline and for the profile of the professorship (commensurate with stage of academic career)
Several years of experience as post-doc or in a similar position
Skills in attracting subject-specific project grants
Skills in higher education didactics and online teaching
Gender mainstreaming skills
International experience during the academic career
Excellent knowledge of English; good knowledge of the German language or willingness to acquire appropriate German language skills within reasonable time
International lecturing activities
Leadership and organisational expertise
